    Psychiatry and Confession    

    I have nothing against Catholics - I was raised a Catholic - until I was Born Again by the grace of Jesus Christ - in Vietnam on April 10th, 1970. In 2002, I ran across this little booklet in a "non-denominational" chapel in Wende CF, Alden, New York. I picked it up in the condition you see it depicted here, because in addition to being a Born-Again Christian, I had been doing pastoral counseling for many years using Dianetics... and Dianetics is the polar opposite of psychiatry (it actually works!). 

     The booklet was originally 3" x 5", and dates back to 1948. I was surprised when I read it, because it reveals that the "official" position of the Catholic Church is that God used (Darwinian) evolution to create Man. Most Catholics I know, believe in an all-powerful Creator that created Man instantly, or at least in the manner described in the book of Genesis. This booklet reveals that the Catholic Church is willing to capitulate their faith in the inerrant Word of God to this "science falsely so-called".

        If you are a Catholic, you need to read this little book. I have enlarged the cover, and transcribed the text verbatim. I added my own commentary in copious footnotes which are not in the original.
